Isaac Suh (born March, 29th, 1997) is a American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer. Suh’s style of music is inspired by his idols which consist of Drake, Kanye West, Lauryn Hill, and Frank Ocean. Suh has put out two mixtapes from 2019 to 2020: Angel 97, and This Wasn’t For You. These projects include hard hitting tracks like “She Belongs to the Streets” and “U Serious”. Suh also gets in his bag with R&B fusion tracks like “Hennessy and Voicemails” and “Fuck with Me”.
Suh constantly is a student of the game, memorizing Kanye west lyrics as a kid, and downloading FL Studio at age 11. Hennessy Suh comes with heavy hitting drums that hit through the Lofi sample in his instrumentals. Suh writes to favor the overall sound of the music over the lyrics sometimes. He breaks the surface with his lyricism in tracks “EST Seoul” reminiscing on times he looked back at his actions on how he treated women due to his relationship with his mother.
Suh’s R&B/Hip Hop fusion can be seen developing every project he puts out. Learning how to balance the cadence with vocals and aggressive rapping. Suh pays homage to Ms. Lauryn Hill’s approach to music, because of her undeniable vocal ability, and conscious lyricism. At age 23, Suh works on his next project which is still untitled, and is planned to release his first music video in 2021. Undoubtedly, Suh’s drive to work with legends in the game, and break barriers for Asian Americans in the music industry will land him in the spotlight with due time.
